WORKSHOP UPDATE !!!!

So at the end of a long weekend I managed to install and paint two rails in white..

Install a dead bolt lock in my door...

and received some square tubing that i will use for braces to put up the interior walls....

The post are pretty spaced out and very strong but the bracing will give me a mounting point to install the wall material....

So now off to work till next weekend .  I have a lot of plans for this space and I don't know where to start LOL !!

Hope everyone's weekend was nice ..

Thank you for looking feel free to leave a comment I'm always open to suggestions.

"NEW WORKSHOP IN PROGRESS"

Yes I  have outgrown my little barn type 12x16 wood working shop.  Its in sad shape anyway. No room to store anymore supplies and build in the same space.   I am tired of moving things around to get to whatever work station I need to get at.

So I took a big step and invested in a 18 x 40 metal building  18 x 30 enclosed and 10x18 as a  covered front porch .... ( I have to have a place to drink my coffee in the morning don't I )  My new shop is huge compared to my old one I feel like all the equipment i have in the old shop will be lost in the new one ..... LOL !!

I will post some pics of the old shop and the progress of the new one tomorrow " I hope ".   I still have a lot to do to get it ready for the move.

Thanks
Mario.

Here is My old 12 X 16 the side sheds are for storage the middle is my old work shop.. Its rough I know.

This is My new work shop 18 X 40  I had to add the wrought iron ( well My wife wanted me to ).
This will be our work space I'm trying to get her involved in my  miniatures.

I will try to post some progress pictures If I don't get caught up in the rush of getting things done.

Thank you for looking and stay tuned

It saddens my Heart

Well after a long battle my Dad passed away Friday the 22nd he was 83 years young and fought till the very end . I held his hand till his very last breath it was the hardest thing ive had to do in my life but i didn't want him to die alone.

I loved my father so very much and it saddens me so very much to see him go but his suffering is over he has been through a lot .... I will miss him... he made me the man I am today and I know I made him proud simply because he told me so every time I was with him  .  that twinkle in his eyes I will never forget.... he was always there for me with whatever I need.  A great Man in my eyes. Thank you Dad for telling me its OK and that you loved me.

Rest in Peace my father

Yours Tearfully

Sometimes life sucks but its what you make of it......

Well here I am its been a year almost and it the holidays already my 83 year old father has been through hell and back and my Mom right along with him. both are doing fine. i had to put all my mini classes and projects aside  till I can get back to a life of norm all my hobbies had to wait also. With work and taking care of life in general I am trying to get my health back in line so i can continue to keep everyone going.

I am getting the itch to build furniture again. My shop beckons me to build.  I  apologize for leaving for so long and i have a lot to catch up on .

So this is what I've been doing.

I hope everyone has a safe an happy holiday this year.....

My favorite books

Here are a few of my favorite furniture books.  .Some of these have
start to finish builds..... Some just have drawings and measurements .  These help out a lot when i have a piece to build using just a photo and a set of measurements .

I will get a list together at a later date ...

Plans and measurements

My Scale Cabinetmaker collection

This is some of my collection of Scale Cabinetmaker issues.   I was  inspired by this publication some years ago.  It was the one I waited for eagerly when it came in the mail.    If you never read a copy ( If you are into miniature furniture building I can't see why not . ) I recommend  picking up what you may find  you won't be disappointed .

Any questions that I can answer I'd be happy to.   Thanks and have a good week....
